Generative Noise Store

Privacy

We collect as little as we can: what it takes to get you your plugins, to help you with them, and to tell you about them if you want to hear.

Who we are

Generative Noise is Generative Noise Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 16192322. We're responsible for the personal data described here. This policy covers generativenoise.com and store.generativenoise.com.

This website

  • No cookies. This site doesn't set cookies or store anything on your device. Polar's checkout, which opens over the page when you buy or download, is Polar's own, and works as their policy says.
  • Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits: which pages are seen, which site sent you, and roughly where from and on what kind of device. It uses no cookies, doesn't identify or follow you, and isn't used for advertising.
  • Hosting. The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web server, it handles your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages and keep the site safe from attacks.

Buying or downloading a plugin

Plugins are sold through Polar, who are the seller: they take your payment, work out any tax, and send your receipt. What you give at the checkout, such as your name, email address and payment details, goes to Polar, under Polar's privacy policy.

Polar passes us your name, your email address, your country and what you bought. We use them to give you your downloads, to help you with your plugins, and to send you the emails below. We never see your payment details.

Emails

  • About the plugins you have: how to get started, new versions, and asking how you've got on. These are part of what you get with a plugin.
  • About other plugins: only if you agree to it at the checkout.

We send them with MailerLite. Every email has a link to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

Support

When you email us, we keep the conversation so we can help you. A plugin's log file can name your project, its machines or its show: we use one only to look into the problem you sent it for, and delete it once we no longer need it.

Your rights

We don't sell your data or share it with anyone but the services named here, and only for what is described here. You can ask us for a copy of the data we have about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it: email [email protected]. If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
